Elizabeth Taylor died today. How could anyone doubt the existence of G-d when presented with a face like hers? Stunning. I never met the woman, but she is responsible for part of our family history. Elizabeth is such a beautiful name. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a daughter named Elizabeth? Yep... unless you marry a man with the surname Taylor. That would just be mean. So, we
diminutized (not a word) Elizabeth to Lisa.
Rest in Peace, Dame Taylor.

Fifth photo of a man looking at our internet satellite dish since we have been on this trip. This man is Cal Thorne of
Advanced Satellite Systems, in Junction City, Oregon, 541.607.8968. Just as he had installed the internet satellite system in our 2004 Country Coach Intrigue, Cal installed the television and internet satellite systems on the
Magna Peregrinus in the Country Coach factory when our RV was constructed. Cal is working in the desert during the winter. (Not too many snowbirds winter-over in Oregon!) Even though our system is trouble-free
at this time, Cal heard about our past woes and climbed up on our roof to have a look-see. Cal no longer installs internet satellite dishes. He is a satellite TV man only these days. Cal faced too many technical issues with those dang internet satellite systems.
I feel your pain. Cal didn't find anything amiss on our roof and he didn't charge us for his time and trouble.
Late this morning - after we both jogged (even together for a short while), I drove DT out to
Terra Lago where he played golf with a group of dudes from Beaverton, Oregon. He claimed the course was challenging and very windy. I spent my day alone getting three months growth chopped-off my locks. Dear Reader, I tried to grow my hair out. Really. I did. But it is just a mass of curls. Getting-very-grey curls. No more. It is amazing what an $18 strip-mall haircut can do to a girls mood.

Captain Jim & Mary arriving for cocktails
Anyway, I had more important things to worry about. Mary had found green & yellow peppers at the market yesterday and decided Terry could certainly come-up with something Duck-related (and fabulous) to do with the odd commodity for our Duck basketball tailgate tonight. And... this is the Motorcoach Country Club. RVers do not walk/drive to visit their neighbors. No - they arrive either via golf car or electric boat!

Green & Yellow peppers
I did the best I could - with such short notice - to make a GO DUCK appetizer tray before watching the Duck v Boise State basketball game tonight.

Curry Dip. I used one pepper as a "dipper" and also served sesame breadsticks.

I may have also served a green & yellow high-fat jalapeno pepper baked/stuffed with cheddar.

And, yes, I did prepare the Reuben Eggrolls. They were pretty good. Not perfected quite enough to post a recipe, but we managed to consume quite a few as-is.

In the interest of science. Experimenting for you, Dear Reader.
Between cocktails and tip-off, Captain Jim and Mary took us on a cruise throughout the entire Motorcoach Country Club.

This is a very tired runner & golfer on a boat.

This is a very happy co-pilot on a boat.

This is a very happy Captain on his boat.
(Please note the very pretty motorhome in the background.)

A tunnel on the waterway at the Motorcoach Country Club.

Just in case you were not paying attention... this is a RV park.
After our boat tour of the resort, we all returned to the
Magna Pergrinus to watch the Ducks win a basketball game v the Boise State Broncos. After our abundant appetizers, dinner consisted of popcorn.
Another perfect day in paradise... well, except it was too windy for Captain Jim and Mary to motor their boat back home tonight after the game. They had to walk (one block) home. Their boat will be moored overnight at our campsite and they will fetch it in the morning... assuming the wind cooperates.
Until my next update, I remain, your green & yellow correspondent.
