What’s Cookin’

Los Angeles, California: The past few days have been busy at home. Workers continue to finish-up the exterior painting, DT has been golfing and I turned ten pounds of tomatoes into a gallon of red sauce for our (RV) freezer.

Last night I made one of our favorite dishes from Taiwan - Kung Pao Chicken:

It just never gets old.

I flew down to Los Angeles this afternoon on a plane filled with Grannies. The plane I take back and forth to Burbank is very small - around 70 passengers - and I found myself in the waiting area with a brood of women my age. We all started chatting and  - I kid you not - we were all either on the way to or from a visit with our grandchildren. The woman I was seated with on the plane was on her way home from a visit with her grandchildren. I thought I was the only one on the fast-track to Imperial Deluxe Regal Plus Advantage Super VIP Status with an airline. The Bubbe Business is Huge!

First Day of (pre-) School!

Our Little Lucy is two weeks old already! She is growing so fast and putting on weight - now a beasty 6 pounds, 9 ounces!

Look at that sweet face and adorable pink smocking!

Look at that adorable teeny hand!

Until my next update, I remain, your southerly correspondent.
