TrackTown, USA: Just a quick update and a few photos from our day in Eugene. First things first: we went to Cafe Yumm! for lunch. Cafe Yumm! is our "Tacos Gonzalez equivalent" lunch spot while we are in Oregon.

DT spent the afternoon in meetings and I spent the afternoon in the motorhome needlepointing. I had more fun than Dave.
Later, we met Mary and Steve at a pub for dinner and then we went to watch one hour of races at Historic Hayward Field. Tomorrow is the Prefontaine Classic, and the meet has a tight two-hour time slot on NBC. To showcase even more races, the meet now has several longer races and invite the public to attend - free of charge.

The four races were a 800m and 1500m for women, and a 800m and two mile for men. A two mile is rarely raced and these guys were going for records... but it was really cold - mid-60s - and really windy.
A few photos from the races:

Another great night of the One True Sport. More tomorrow.
Until my next update, I remain, your happy correspondent.
RV PARK: Premier RV Park. I-5, exit 199. Large paved pull-throughs. Back-in sites line a small lake. Laundry, fitness center, club house, bath house, recycling, small store. 50 amp, free wifi. Pool in season. This park is very popular with RVers for repairs and maintenance at the many nearby RV facilities. A lot of live-ins. We are paying $57 per night.
