Indio, California: We spent the day with the kids. The weather was just perfect - really warm and sunny with no wind! We had time at the pool, went for a walk, watched golf and then walked up to the Club House for brunch... er... lunch...

Since we are so extremely popular owners at the Motorcoach Country Club, we were invited to a cocktail party hosted by the resort real estate agent, Kerry Johnston. Kerry throws this shindig every year at the end of the "season".
FREE + COCKTAILS = a very crowded room!DT and I walked into the Club House and turned around and walked out of the Club House! It was a very lively party and everyone seemed to be having a blast, but there wasn't enough room for two more people in the room... so we headed out to Rancho Mirage (a little early) for our planned rendezvous with Marci & Jim and Donnie & Cindy - just arrived from Portland.

The YardHouse claims to have the world's largest selection of draft beers. I must say the selection is amazing! (We have also heard great things about their Happy Hour.) The six of us had a great selection of entree salads and appetizers and talked for hours. Donnie & Cindy had a terrible snowy drive from Portland to Palm Springs. They are ready for some sun and golf!

Of course, we have already seen Donnie on this trip - at the BCS game in Phoenix... but how fun to see old friends twice on the same trip!
