Borrego Springs, California: Our day started with beautiful sun, so we were out the door early for bicycling (DT) and jogging (me), because we heard it was supposed to get windy and stormy later.

I stopped to see my friend - he and his pals are busy picking grapes and tending vines.

Especially since it is snowing like crazy at our home in Oregon. Last report has our driveway covered in 6 inches of the white stuff.
Temperature at home? 20 degrees.

Needing postcards, we went to the gift shop at the Visitor Center at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

Kathy & Woody arrived this afternoon to Borrego Springs. Dave and I cooked dinner for our friends, while we watched the Oregon Ducks lose (just barely) to the #2 Arizona Wildcats (basketball) in Tucson. I made one of DT's favorite pasta dishes - spaghetti with pecorino cheese and black pepper... and except for the cheese coagulating into big blobby balls, the meal was quite delicious.
No idea what happened. I make this dish at least once a month. Who knows? Thank goodness it was old friends for dinner tonight instead of the President of Zimbabwe. Our friends forgave me.
Tomorrow we move campsites, visit the Farmers Market and tee off. All of this will happen before 11a. Remember me in your prayers.
SLOGGER REPORT: Three miles - alternating walking/running between songs on my iPod.
Until my next update, I remain, your stormy correspondent.
RV PARK: Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course - We have a paved pull-through site with full-service 50 amp. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Free wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $70 per night.
