Borrego Springs, California: Dave and I noticed a few changes around Borrego Springs on our drive into town yesterday and then discovered a few more changes while we were out exercising (run for me, bike ride for DT) this morning.
1. Most noticeable is a huge white streak down the mountain above town.

2. The French Corner Restaurant is closed and for sale.
3. Long shuttered, La Casa Del Zorro hotel has once again opened. This beautiful property - just outside of town - has two restaurants and beautiful rooms. Each room features a wood-burning fireplace. The resort also offer 2-4 bedroom casitas with private pools and hot tubs. Nice.

We decided to return to test the casual restaurant - The Fox Den (Zorro=Fox) to try their Blue Plate Specials and wouldn't you know it - Tuesday is Pork Night. Wednesday is Fish & Chips... so maybe will give it a try tomorrow? I was very impressed with the changes/improvements to the pretty hotel and if not in a luxurious RV, I would stay at this luxurious resort.
It was fun to spend the day getting reacquainted with Borrego Springs... and we took a nice afternoon soak in the natural mineral spas in our RV resort.

No matter the changes in the material world, we are always reminded who is in charge with yet another amazing sunset over Borrego Springs.

SLOGGER REPORT: I ran/walked three miles along my favorite route in Borrego Springs. I found my boyfriend... still waiting for me... still offering a box of grapes. He's a nice guy, but... seriously... no personality, but he is persistent. My foot feels fine!
Until my next update, I remain, your updated correspondent.
RV PARK: Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course - We have a paved pull-through site with full-service 50 amp. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Free wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $70 per night.
