Indio, California: We didn’t leave the resort today until we went out for sushi at dinner time. We swam, biked, swam, biked, and then we swam. There was a lot of pool time today. Much of the afternoon was spent at the pool behind the clubhouse (aka the “main” pool) with Haley, Emily, and their parents. We could pop-up to the clubhouse restaurant for drinks, lunch or snacks. A great day in the sun – coated in sunscreen, of course.

After dinner at a local sushi restaurant, we returned to our campsite for a photo shoot. Mary and Captain Jim’s daughter-in-law, Melissa, snapped photos of our family in our Spring Break tee shirts:
Everything is Awesome
Everything is crazy
We had a beautiful cruise on the Desert Duck, with Captain Jim at the helm. He let all four children honk the horn every time we crossed under a bridge (4 times) and was a most patient Captain.

Our perfect cruise ended with a thud. DT tripped on our dock exiting the Desert Duck and stopped his fall on the cement with his forearms… requiring a quick trip to urgent care to clean-up his scrapes. Dave will be fine, but it was not a fun way to spend 90 minutes away from our grandchildren.
Until my next update, I remain, your caring correspondent.
