Indio, California: Our last day in the Coachella Valley. Not a lot of excitement, but a very full day. Our morning started with DT and Mark going for one last run along the sandy trails in La Quinta while I baked dozens (and dozens) of my famous Big Fat Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies for the Motorcoach Country Club staff as a going-away gift.

You may (or you may not) recall that we had special-ordered windscreen wipers from a local RV supply store for $77 and when they arrived, the wipers did not fit our RV wiper mechanisms. At all. You may (or you may not) recall that I spent hours on the interweb yesterday searching for replacements. Several RV forums suggested 28-inch blades worked just as well as 31-inch blades and they could be found at nearly every The Wal-Mart in America.
Dang. You all know I hate me some Wally World.
This is why I sent My Driver to the Mega-Store this morning. He found the 28-inch blades for less than $6 each (producto de Mexico - possibly the only thing in the store not producto de Chino?).

$12. Wasted.
After we delivered the cookies to the staff and said our goodbyes, we went to Castelli's for our farewell dinner. Seriously, I don't know why we don't eat here every night except that my thighs would resemble totem poles. The food is so authenticly Italian. The wait staff is so professional. The wine is so lovely. Castelli's was the perfect choice for our farewell meal even though they do not serve tacos..

It seems we were not the only one of our friends "in Italy" tonight. Mary and Cory took the train from Cinque Terra to Rome and had some-sort of trouble with the train "conductor". Something about not validating a ticket? They certainly look like scoundrels to me.

Probably best to deport these hooligans.
PS: I worked on making the home page of RVGoddess.com a little more appealing. Do you like the changes? Hate the changes? Please comment below. I'm pretty tough.
Until my next update, I remain, your Indio correspondent.
