Los Angeles, California: I wanted to share several photos I have received/taken in the past few hours. We left Indio mid-day and will spend the weekend in Los Angeles with Lisa, Lenny and Leo. Actually sleeping at their new house in their guest room. No more hotels for us!
More of Mary & Cory in Venice, Italy. According to Mary, there hasn't been a lot of sunshine and the streets of Venice are flooding very often. I just love the colorful buildings in Venice.

Don't forget about our first grand "child", Reese. Reese is adapting very well to his new home. Born in Washington, DC - this is Reese's third state and sixth home.
For Shabbat, Lisa roasted a lemon-infused chicken and served garlicky potatoes with arugula. DT carved.
Lisa asked me to bake/bring a flourless chocolate hazelnut torte as it was something she usually makes during Passover and never seemed to get around to last week (possibly because they were moving and they have an infant?). I used a very good recipe from the January 2008 Bon Appetit Magazine. I baked the torte in my teeny RV oven very late last night as the temperatures outside dipped below 80°. Pretty easy... except for the need to grind hazelnuts in a food processor. Super rich. Super delicious.
We have a big adventure planned tomorrow, so check back.
Until my next update, I remain, your Los Angeles correspondent.
SLOGGER REPORT: Even though it was over 90 degrees, I went out and walked around the resort. Exercise is getting to be dangerous in Indio. Time to point the bus north.
