Indio, California: Not too much to report. The temperature climbed to 99° today and just not a lot happens when it is 99°. I ran very early this morning (well, eight o'clock is early for me) and it was already over 80 degrees. Weekend Two of the Coachella Music Festival begins tomorrow, so I was met with huge parking signs, police at every intersection, helicopters and road closures on my route today.

Remember last Sunday night when the crowds at Coachella were overwhelming overwhelmed by a hologrammed performance of the ghost of Tupac? Some clever person has made-up a poster promoting a (joke) hologram line-up for next year. I thought it was hilarious:

We are leaving the desert for the weekend. We are leaving the Coachella crowds. We are leaving all the helicopters. Airplanes. Noise. Traffic. Forecast 100° temperatures. We are going to LA to see Our Girl and her family. Gee, wonder if I will post any photos of the baby?
Until my next update, I remain, your reunited correspondent.
SLOGGER REPORT: I jogged around the block, and then tagged-on another mile to make up for the fact I walked at times because it was so hot. Sloth. 5 miles.
