My Busy Day

Indio, California: Oregon football fans had some rough news this morning. After flirting with a NFL coaching position, but eventually deciding to remain as the Ducks head coach, Chip Kelly pulled the old bait-and-switch and took the head coaching position with the Philadelphia Eagles. Now I seriously worry about Mr. Kelly. I wonder how long it takes him to decide what to eat for breakfast each morning. Don't get behind him in line at Starbucks. This ricocheting scenario is probably so amusing to anyone other than a UO Duck fan. If we lose top recruits (like Thomas Tyner) because Chip abandoned ship, this girl is gonna be angry. Maybe tomorrow we will learn he has changed his mind again?

Ummm... Chip... goodbye.

After the dust settled, I drove DT out to Palm Springs International Airport. My Driver is going to spend a few days in Oregon for TrackTown USA meetings.

Then I rushed back to our campsite to meet with our tech, Brian Van De Walker, ofCoach Solutions. We are leaving very soon on a "vacation from our vacation" and needed a few things checked-out. Looks like we are ready to go! While Brian was here, I kept myself busy (and out of his way) preparing a pot of vegan carrot ginger soup for dinner tomorrow night.

As soon as Brian left, I ran out and stocked up on healthy foods. I also visited Bed, Bath & Beyond and used my omnipresent 20%-off coupon to purchase this:

Later, I put a wooden high chair together:

Amazingly enough, it only took a few minutes. I'm a fairly advanced user of an Allen wrench. Plus, I can read directions. (In full disclosure, probably 17-month-old Leo could put this high chair together.)

Next up on the agenda was a baby bathtub. This little unit, the Flexibath, folds flat for storage. Very clever. It's a bit small, but will suffice to soak a toddler. Works perfectly in the casita or RV shower stall.

The tub also has the right color combo if anyone would ever want it to ice-down brewskis at a Duck tailgate.

Just sayin'.

It could happen.

From my activities today, you will not be surprised to learn a certain little fellow is coming for a visit tomorrow.

Until my next update, I remain, your prepared and excited correspondent.
