Los Angeles, California: This Little Princess didn't receive 100% of the attention today.

Lucy had to share the spotlight with her Momma, because today was The Lovely Lisa's birthday. With all the excitement of Lucy's arrival, Lisa's birthday could have been easily forgotten. Lenny made sure that did not happen.
After Leo went to school, we met Leo's godmother for a birthday brunch at
Little Dom's.

Lisa's girlfriends stopped in with decorations and cupcakes. Dave and Lenny hung streamers and tied balloons to each chair - the dining room was transformed into a party palace for Lisa.

Happy Birthday to our beautiful girl!
We were also celebrating Little Rina's (Leo's friend) 3rd birthday. Rina and her parents were invited to dinner.
Though she did not cook, Lisa chose the menu.

She "designed" a salad with peaches (today is also "Eat a Peach Day" and Lisa received a big box of peaches from her Grandmother) marinated in lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, salt and pepper, served over arugula - with a little balsamic drizzle, then topped with burrata and pistachos. Wow.

Lisa also wanted a veggie lasagna, so I whipped-up a double batch of
RV Lasagna. Her guests brought dessert - Lisa's favorite cake from a local restaurant. We dined well.

Pretty flowers
