Los Angeles, California: Our Little Grandson is two years old today. He celebrated his Big Day (though we are pretty-sure he didn't really realize exactly what was going-on) at the beach in Los Angeles with his parents and both sets of grandparents.
Nothing says Birthday Breakfast better than Nutella on toastThe kids rented a shade structure at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. The beach estate, built by William Randolph Hearst (for his mistress Marion Davies), now only contains the original art-deco-inspired swimming pool, but has cabanas for rental, a huge beach, a restaurant, event space, splash park and reserved parking. (NOTE FIGURE LEFT: USA Sand Volleyball team were also at this beach today.)The late afternoon was spent back at the house cooking in preparation of Leo's birthday party tomorrow morning. Cookies, cupcakes, salads, quiches - and many more dishes have been organized for the Official Celebration.
Tonight, Leo celebrated with his immediate family at home.
Leo had ice cream...
...opened a few gifts - including a lei, hula skirtand a ukulele from Aunt Colleen & Uncle Tyson...
