Indio, California: Today we watched golf. If you didn't watch golf and you went to church, or hiked with your kids, or ran errands, I completely understand your day too. But today, we watched golf.
For five hours.
We also exercised... though I am miserably suffering with my "upper leg" injury, so DT is also suffering miserably having to listen to me bitch complain about my "upper leg" injury.
DT took me to a golf shop to purchase a new driver for my golf bag. I have been using my old driver for 13 years. It is as large as my fist. I understand the new drivers allowed now are quite a bit larger. The driver we purchased today, a Taylor Made Burner, is about the size as a Buick. I hit the thing at the golf shop, and if you are in Cleveland, about now my ball should be landing in your back yard.

We also spent a while walking/driving around this RV resort perusing the "campsites" for sale. You can pick up an unimproved site for $79,000 dollars... or you can buy a luxury site with a casita, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, etc, etc, etc, for around $900,000.
Or you can rent for $75 per day.
Still, it is always fun to look and dream of owning your own piece of RV Paradise.
My Dad has arrived in the Palm Springs area for a ten-day visit. Tonight we met him for dinner in Rancho Mirage at The Yard House.
We knew he would love The Yard House as they have about a gazillion beers on tap and he found his beloved Black Butte Porter amongst their selection.
The Yard House has a crazily extensive menu. Asian dishes. Burgers. Salads. Steaks. Seriously, the menu is pages long. It is nearly impossible to decide which item to order.
The last time we dined at The Yard House, I remembered a scrumptious raw tuna thing. I described it to our waiter and he brought us the Hawaiian Poke (pronounced po-kay) Stack - fresh marinated raw ahi stacked with crispy wontons, carrots, bean sprouts, avocado and wasabi soy sauce. It was just delicious and I highly recommend this tasty dish. It was enough for me for dinner... except I also ordered chicken fingers.

Tomorrow we are supposed to have our bus washed. Which means it will probably rain.
Until my next update, I remain, your deep-fried correspondent.
