Change is Good

Borrego Springs, California: Spending last night in the over-flow/dry-camping area of this resort has done wonders for our internet system. Why? No one knows. The gurus are pondering the reason... but for some reason our internet satellite now seems to be working perfectly. DT thinks a cable was saturated with rain/moisture and has finally dried-out due to several days of 80-degree-plus weather.

Yes, the weather in Borrego Springs has been simply outstanding.

Not that spending the night in the dry-camping area at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort is suffering much.

The gravel over-flow lot sits just above the 9th/18th hole. There is a private beach along the lake. We ran our generator for a few hours last night while we watched the Ducks beat USC in basketball.

This morning, Kathy & Woody phoned us from Arizona. They have been to Florida and back in their motorhome since the BCS game on January 10th! They asked if we were still in Borrego Springs and if they could join us for a few days! How exciting! Our RV park is still over-booked, but we found reservations for Kathy & Woody at another RV park in Borrego Springs.

After noon, we were able to move to a campsite right on the golf course! We have this site for the next four nights. After Thursday - we have no idea where we will be camping. We will think about that on Wednesday. For now, we are enjoying our beautiful campsite and the many hummingbirds visiting the Palo Verde tree next to our bus.

Besides a yummy Valentine dinner with Kathy & Woody, we have another exciting event to attend tomorrow. Be sure to check-back!

Until my next update, I remain, your transient correspondent.

RV PARK: The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. Cement 50 amp pull-throughs will full service. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Slow wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $64 per night for a "premium" site.
