After replenishing our fresh food supply (and DT had a donut!) we came back to the RV resort and enjoyed the sunny morning before jogging. Again, clever DT ran on the soft grass of the golf course and I pounded the pavement.
We were having a little dinner party tonight - Kathy & Woody arrived in Borrego Springs this afternoon as part of a month-long RV vacation. DT grilled two huge steaks (we shared, and still had extra) and I roasted some of those pretty fingerling potatoes from the Farmers Market in garlic, olive oil and fresh rosemary. Along with fresh greens, witty conversation and a slice apple pie from Julian - it was a great night. A few corks may have been pulled.
We four have a tee time tomorrow, so maybe I will post photos of our friends Saturday instead of our dinner. Though, dang, the New York steaks (vacuum-sealed and frozen, from New Seasons Market) were mighty nice.
Until my next update, I remain, your beefy correspondent.
RV PARK: The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. Cement 50 amp pull-throughs with full service. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $69 per night for a "premium" site.
