Borrego Springs, California: Today our big excitement was to move from the campground at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, back to the fancy Springs at Borrego RV Resort. I will admit this past weekend was the perfect time to be in the state park. We were steps away from watching the wildflowers explode and the little streambed turn into a roaring creek after 1.57 inches of overnight rain. Waking up to snow-capped mountains was a huge treat as well.
But, I like my 50 amp life line. Our RV has every sort of system which allows us to be out in the middle of nowhere for days at a time, unaided. We have a generator, a 3000 watt inverter, solar panels, satellite internet, diesel water heater/furnace, the capacity to carry 90 gallons of fresh water and 150 gallons of diesel. (Seriously, there is barely room for my shoes with all the systems crammed-into this motorhome.)
Is it petty to mention it is impossible to use the clothes dryer unless we have 50 amp service (without firing-up the generator)?
Yes?
I thought so. Whatever. Can't help myself. I'm a RV Goddess.

It has been a few years since I have posted photos of this lovely RV park, so I took my camera out for a stroll. In hindsight, I should have just used the photos from a few years ago because this park is so well-maintained - nothing has changed. See the sandy gravel next to our cement campsite? Everyday a camp host rakes a neat and tidy striped pattern into the gravel. Lemon, orange and tangerine trees are scattered amongst the campsites - help yourself!

Okay. I'm kidding about the foot rub part.

I'm exhausted just typing that last sentence.

After all that exercise (or wine tasting), maybe you would like to relax.

Until my next update, I remain, your 50 amp correspondent.
RV PARK: The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. Cement 50 amp pull-throughs will full service. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Slow wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $64 per night for a "premium" site.
