Back in El Lay

Los Angeles, California: Dear Reader, I am not exactly sure where to hang my hat these days, but I am once again in Los Angeles. Staying with Lenny & Lisa Leo. My flight was at a most inhumane hour, and I arrived to Lisa's house by 10 o'clock in the morning. She had a list of errands for me and I set-out on my tasks, after I had a bit of this:

If that just isn't the most precious pose a boy could muster-up for his Grandma... I had not seen Leo since Wednesday, and I swear, he has doubled in size. Of course, this is just an exaggeration, but the dude is filling-out! His "surgery" is healing well, but his umbilical cord doesn't look like it is going to fall out/off any time soon. Leo sees his pediatrician Wednesday, so I will be able to update with actual facts at that time.

Why couples have children

I failed miserably at my tasks this afternoon. I was sent to the post office to acquire a certain stamp for the birth announcements, and they were out of stock. Then I was sent out to a Target store in Burbank to return too-large stocking caps - only to learn the packing slip accompanying the stocking caps is not the same document required to return items. Too much work for $4.99 worth of huge baby hats, if you ask me. But no one asked me. I was, however, able to find 7 of the 8 items on Lisa's Target shopping list.

Then I sat in traffic for an hour.

When Daddy came home from work, the family (Lisa, Lenny, Leo & Reese) went on a walk around the neighborhood, while Bubbe prepared dinner - pan-seared rib eyes, steamed green beans with a Dijon sauce and a tomato and avocado salad. Little Leo slept while the grown-ups enjoyed a quiet dinner.

Lisa has placed a huge chore on my list tomorrow, so I had better get some rest. Until my next update, I remain, your "where am I" correspondent.
