A Day in London

Surrey, England: We started the morning with a visit to Kate and Baby Jessica. Kate had baked her very first cake - a Cherry Clafoutis.

Jessica finally warmed-up to her Auntie Terry

In the afternoon, we took the train into London to spend the day and later meet Emma and her husband for dinner. We walked for miles along the Thames and saw very many interesting sights... so, once again, really a lot of photos for your viewing pleasure today.

The London Eye (we did not ride)

St. Paul's along the Thames

There were several Airstream trailers and other vintage RV's used as food carts along the river

Shakespeare's Old Globe Theatre has been reproduced in the original location

After walking about four miles, we stopped for a lovely lunch along the river.

Hells beer?

Pretending to be eating healthy

Emma thought I would enjoy a stroll through the Borough Market - and she was right. This open-air food emporium has butchers, bakers, fishmongers, vegetable and fruit vendors, small restaurants and anything else one could need to produce a gourmet meal in their home kitchen. I was in heaven!

We met Emma and her husband, Matthew, at a restaurant in their neighborhood and enjoyed a great meal, before going back to their flat and finally taking the train back to Surrey.

I ordered Fish & Chips (again!)

Until my next update, I remain, your urban correspondent.
