McMinnville, Oregon: We have left the building! The meet was over on the 4th of July, but we did not want to deal with all the traffic after the meet, nor all the chaos of the airiport rental car return the day after the meet, so lingered in TrackTown one more day. Didn't do much. Of course, we had our traditional Sunday brunch at Marché. Took a photo of the famed herbed omelet and sent it off to our track posse peeps for them to be envious of.

Eugene was a ghost town on Sunday. So strange after seeing thousands everywhere the past few days. The weather was just lovely as well. No sweater required.

There was no airport congestion late morning today at the airport. I dropped-off the car and DT was right there to fetch me and we drove north on 99W (the original Washington-to-California route prior to I-5), driving past farm after farm and adorable small towns. Really a pretty drive. It's haying time! Hood strawberries have appeared at the farm stands.
Arriving in McMinnville, DT dropped me off to fetch another rental car which we will use during our time in the Portland area, and I followed him to a very nice shady campsite.
Tonight we just wanted to watch the USA v Belgium game and stay in.

Until my next update, I remain, your Oregon correspondent.
Campground Information: Old Stone RV Resort. (Formally Old Stone Village.) This park was always nice and perfectly maintained. There is a section in the back with (nice) mobile homes which shared the resort facilities. A few years ago they put in a new clubhouse for RVers with a larger pool and super-fancy laundry room. Next door (walk there) to the famed Spruce Goose.
