McMinnville, Oregon: We are just loving this fabulous weather. 80° here; 110° at our house. Dave went for a long bicycle ride this morning and I went for a long walk (after watching the Argentina v Egypt game). Dang if this wasn't the very best World Cup game to date. Egypt led 2-0 with ten minutes to go and Argentina won 3-2. I am pretty sure Messi was crying with happiness. Such a fun game.

Our campground is next to the Evergreen Air & Space Museum and the property is expansive and there are walking/bicycling paths that connect to the RV Park. Over the past several years the fields around the museum buildings have been planted with grapes (the facility is right in the middle of Oregon wine country). This time of year, the fruit has set. The the little future-grapes are called berries:

The museum buildings include an air museum, a theater, a space museum, a water park and a chapel. Now they are building a hotel!

This McDonnell-Douglas VC-9C (1975-2001) is an adapted DC9 previously used as an flying ambulance, and called C-9 Nightingales. It was fitted with a VIP interior, secure satellite communications, inflight RV and telecommunication computers to transport US government officials, Vice Presidents, Secretary of States, First Ladies and diplomats. When the Vice President was onboard, the plane was Air Force II. This plane was based at Andrews Air Force Base and served Presidents Ford, Reagan, GH Bush, Clinton, GW Bush and Obama.
This was a very good walk! So much to see, but we had to get pretty and head up to Domaine Serene to meet our brokers for our annual meeting (so much more fun than meeting in an office!). We had a tasting and little bites and caught up.

After our snacks we didn't want much for dinner. I planned a Corfu omelet (green pepper, red onion with feta and oregano) and a Greek salad. Perfect light supper.

DT is golfing with his cousin tomorrow and I am not. Kinda having a day off.
Not sure if I have mentioned, but the 4L's have returned from several weeks in Italy. Home safe and already to a Dodgers game.
Until my next update, I remain, your Serene correspondent.
Campground Information: Old Stone RV Resort. (Formally Old Stone Village.) This park was always nice and perfectly maintained. There is a section in the back with (nice) mobile homes which shared the resort facilities. A few years ago they put in a new clubhouse for RVers with a larger pool and super-fancy laundry room. Next door (walk there) to the famed Spruce Goose.
