Why I Have Huge Calves

Indio, California:  I ran "around the block" again this morning and forgot to bring my iPod nano thingy, so only had my own ridiculously random thoughts to amuse myself. I wondered why My Creator thought it a good idea to gift me my dad's stocky legs and massive calves, instead of my mom's slender gams? NFL linemen dream of having such monstrous calves. But then I realized if I didn't have these calves, I wouldn't have been a sprinter on my high school track team. Blessed with long shapely legs, I would have probably been a cheerleader. No doubt sign a lucrative modeling contract and fly around the world on private jets, dating rock stars, only to be found dead one morning in a five-star Parisian hotel of a heroin overdose.

Obviously, The Big Guy knew what he was doing.

So, instead of watching me cheer at football games, my Mom had to sit through years of watching me sprint at track meets. GIRLS track meets. No one went to girls track meets except parents. And if I didn't run track (and love runners), I would have never met DT. Then G-d made it all up to me by giving The Lovely Lisa skinny little legs - and she loves running! It all makes perfect sense.

I promise to never forget my iPod again.

We signed a contract this morning with Arnold Castro of Desert Isles. Arnold, and his staff, will be building a casita and a covered living area on our Indio RV lot this summer while we are away. As soon as I get my hands on something I can scan - the plans will be posted on this website for your consideration.

DT took me to Fisherman's Market for more fish tacos. So nice to enjoy lunch outside in the warm weather.

We ran errands, shipped orders and then DT had to get to work.

These are not the only Ducks in the Desert this week. The UO Trustees are in town for meetings, so My Driver will be busy the next few days - and I will join him for a few social events in the evenings.

Until my next update, I remain, your pondering correspondent.
