Indio, California: The Lovely Lisa and our Granddawg, Reese, came to visit for the weekend. We were busy every moment she was here! Lisa had appointments to tour several hotels in the Palm Springs area as possible wedding venues.
One hotel was a bit funky.
But in a über-chic hipster way.
We toured fancy ballrooms.
And saw pretty outdoor spaces.
And we also saw this strange dude with four Yorkies in a stroller.It was a very interesting day and we really learned a lot about planning a wedding. There will be no more time for mental flossing - we have a wedding to plan! To complete the day, Lisa and I had mani-pedi's and Daddy took us out to dinner.
We woke to another beautiful sunny day this morning. (Lenny phoned to say it was pouring rain in Los Angeles.)
Reese enjoyed the sunshine.
And Reese protected our new estate concrete slab from the "front porch".
We spent some time at the pool today. I swear, when Lisa was swimming - and I squinted just a bit - she looked like a little girl again, playing in the swimming pool! But, alas, when I put my glasses on, she was indeed nearly 30 years old and nearly 5 months pregnant. Where does the time go? (By the way: Lisa refused to be photographed. So sad, too, as she is simply glowing and gorgeous.)
NOTE: my opinion is highly prejudiced.
Before Lisa drove back to Los Angeles, we had brunch at the Motorcoach Country Club restaurant. DT and Our Girl had breakfast.
I had a Chicken Tostada. It was yummy.Then Lisa and Reese drove back to Los Angeles.
