We have arrived in Indio

Indio, California: Another long driving day. At least we had fabulous weather and no wind for our 250 mile drive over the mountains from Bakersfield into the Coachella Valley. Another great thing? We won't be moving the bus for about two weeks!

We are ensconced again at the Signature Resorts Motorcoach Country Club in Indio, California - just south of Palm Springs. This privately-owned resort is generally regarded as the finest motorcoach resort in the world. We agree, and just love staying here. (It is really difficult to call it "camping" at the ever-so-exclusive MCCC. Luxurious sites, three pools, water-ways, spas, club house with full-service gourmet restaurant and bar, lush landscaping and views to the mountains on all sides. Owners (we are renting) upgrade their sites with private casitas, outdoor kitchens, outdoor living areas complete with fireplaces and big screen televisions.

We have returned to the same site we rented in April during the Coachella Music Festival - but now there is a tall table and bar stools on the site. Woo Hoo!

We have a view over a lake and one of the golf holes (I can't remember which hole at the moment...).

The view straight out the Magna Peregrinus front window is to the mountains!

Ah.

No more driving.

Now I'm just being mean.

Sorry to all my Dear Readers suffering from cold weather. It was only 69 degrees when we arrived to Indio this afternoon.

Until my next update, I remain, your "roughing it" correspondent.
