Technical Troubles

Track Town USA: A pretty lazy day for us. Yes, we worked-out, but mostly stayed around the RV park while our tech repaired a few things on the Magna Peregrinus. Since the manufacturer of our motorhome, Country Coach, is bankrupt shut-down out of business reorganizing in liquidation, owners in need of a repair to their "world's finest motorcoach" are screwed out of luck. We do know a tech in Eugene who is up on all things Country Coach and were able to secure an appointment with him today - plus, he makes "house" calls!

First, there was a software upgrade for our inverter. Easy and quick. He then added additional light switches to make things more convenient for short little me. Easy. But, our tech had been trying to schedule an entire afternoon where he could toughen-up the slide-room mechanisms and today proved to be that day. All repairs went well!

Look what is hidden behind the pretty cherry walls!

Our RV tech was here until 5:30 - and then DT and I headed out to meet Gary and Cathie for a quick bite before the Duck basketball game v Oakland University of Rochester, Michigan. School is out of session, but Mac Court was still pretty full and very noisy.

The Duck was at Mac Court.

Oregon Track Coach, Vin Lananna, was at Mac Court.

The Oregon cheerleaders were at Mac Court.

The Fighting Duck basketball team was at Mac Court - and ready to play.

This is the last basketball season for Mac Court - a new stadium is under construction a few blocks away.

This guy was at Mac Court too - Oakland University head basketball coach, Greg Kampe (in all-black).

Greg was not a happy coach.

Coach Kampe argued with the referee.

This is generally never a good idea.

The ref warned Coach Kampe.

The referee gave Coach Kampe a technical foul.

It is also not a good idea to chase-after a ref who has just given you a technical foul.

At least his assistant coaches were on his side. (His players seem to be trying to ignore the situation.)

Arguing with a ref who has just T'd you up is only going to get you T'd-up again.

Bingo.

Goodbye.

Between all this hubbub was a pretty good basketball game. Ducks won.

It was tiring.

Tomorrow morning, we point this bus south down I-5, searching for sun and not technical difficulties. Until my next update, I remain, your well-behaved correspondent.
