Tasting Wine

Napa, California: Since we are in wine country, we decided to go taste some wine. First we all went to Kennedy Park and exercised for one hour (walking and jogging). Smart move, because there was not a lot of movement except elbow-bending the rest of the day.

Our first stop was to one of our favorite spots - Domaine Chandon - for a little brunch bubbly.

Mary enjoying a little sparkling rose

We ordered a little cheese and smoked salmon to accompany our sparkling wine.

After brunch, we drove into Yountville and walked around the pretty town, window shopping. The weather was simply outstanding. Sunny and warm. No sweaters required.

Later in the afternoon we went to Luna Vineyards - not far from our RV campground. Dave is especially fond of their Sangiovese and I really like their Pinot Grigio, so every time we visit Napa, we stop-in to pick up a case or two of their fine wines.

Luna Vinyards

We had a private tasting!

After our big day in wine country (two vineyards is a huge day for old folks us), we came back to the campground and Woody grilled chicken for our dinner. DT and I contributed side dishes.

Football was watched on television.

More adventure awaits tomorrow. Until my next update, I remain, your sparkling correspondent.

RV PARK: Napa Valley Expo RV Park. Our favorite campground in the area. Long paved full-service pull-through sites with 50 amp. Bathhouse, laundry, free wifi, lawn, picnic table. At the fairgrounds and just a short drive to downtown Napa. We paid $45 per night, with a Good Sam discount.
