Canyonville, Oregon: Dave and I are taking our sweet time getting back to Eugene, Oregon for the Stanford game Saturday evening. The drive from Napa requires two long-haul days or, if you are pokey like us, one long day and two leisurely days. We took option #2, leaving Napa yesterday morning for a 270 mile trek to Yreka.
We camped for the first time at the Yreka RV Park Wednesday night. The campground is just far enough off the interstate to avoid traffic noise and features an Airstream Motor Lodge - where you can stay in an Airstream trailer. We had a long gravel pull-through with full-service hookups. Cable, free wifi, laundry room, bath house, propane and a small store. Free coffee, muffins and newspapers in the office in the mornings. We paid $36 with our Good Sam discount, and would happily stay there again.
It was pretty chilly and foggy in Yreka this morning. Happy to rest my toes on our heated tile floors! Neither of us exercised in the cold mountain air; we just hit the road.
Our only stop for the day was an hour lunch break at a rest area in Oregon. The chowder I put in the crockpot Wednesday morning was even better the second day.We only traveled about 150 miles today, stopping again in Canyonville, Oregon atSeven Feathers RV Park (plus casino, hotel, restaurants, theater, spa and truck stop). Before heading to the RV resort, we stopped to fill-up the Magna Peregrinus at the tribal truck stop. Not sure what was up with the attendant today, but when I requested $400 for fuel on pump #3, he pre-authorized $300 on my credit card. DT asked me to go back to the cashier and get another $100. I did and this time he authorized $100 on pump #7. Goodness. $389 dollars and thirty minutes later, the 150-gallon tank was full.
After playing leap frog a few times with this guy today on I-5, we finally had a close-up at the truck stop and discovered he was hauling a gianormous propeller for the Coast Guard:
Long-time Readers will recognize the Seven Feathers RV Park, as a frequent and popular stop for us up and down I-5. The resort is simply beautiful, set under pretty hillsides, and has 191 paved sites. The facilities are outstanding and they are a perfect rally park.

This is a typical pull-through site - with full service hook-ups and picnic table. There are back-in sites as well. Laundry, bathhouse, free shuttle to the casino, walking trails, cable TV, free wifi and playground.
Just after setting-up camp and snapping these photos, it started to rain. (Insert sad face here!) We will hunker down for the night, watch college football and rest-up for our 100 miles drive tomorrow!Until my next update, I remain, your Oregon correspondent.
