I have a pile of useless thoughts in my brain that I just know you want to hear about, so here goes...

I keep forgetting to tell you about this man:

This is Bruce. He was a great friend of DT's Uncle Charlie. (You may recall we recently attended a memorial service for Uncle Charlie in California.) Why am I introducing you to this fine gentleman? DT was named after him. David Bruce!

Just thought you would like to know.

You should also know roasted radishes are divine. A bunch of radishes, tossed with 1 Tablespoon melted butter, 1 Tablespoon olive oil, salt & pepper - roasted for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Easy. Inexpensive. Delicious. The sharp bite from a raw radish melts away to savory bliss after roasting.

The Magna Peregrinus is no longer in our driveway. This is a good thing, as when the motorhome is in the driveway, nothing else can be in our driveway and our circular driveway cannot be circled.

The rainy weather is delaying several chores... such as having the dead tree removed from the front of our house... having the meadow mowed... window washing... and going outside for more than two minutes at a time.

It is going to be 70 degrees and sunny in Napa tomorrow, 88 in Palm Springs and 84 in Puerto Penasco.

Not a problem. Having to remain indoors gives me lots of time for my new chore - washing dishes. By hand. Our dishwasher decided it would be fun to spit-out smoke and flash all sorts of fault-codes! Where there is smoke, there is fire, so DT hit the circuit breaker and I filled the sink with hot soapy water and started scrubbing.

Washing dishes is worth it though, because tonight I cooked this:

Soba noodles in a sesame-ginger sauce with green onion and tofu.

Delicious.

Until my next update, I remain, your dish-pan-handed correspondent.
