Indio, California: We have returned from Los Angeles. Lisa & Lenny's first Thanksgiving was a brilliant success! So much fun and so wonderful to spend time with the Cutest Baby Ever!
DirecTV does not carry the Pac-12 Network (insert rant here!), so we had to watch the Civil War in a sports bar. This means unhealthy foods, semi-flat brewskis and high-fiving complete strangers. Our Ducks smashed the Oregon State Beavers (in Corvallis!) 48-24 - giving Duck fans bragging-rights for yet another year.
Meanwhile at a sports bar in Denver, where my brother and his family went to watch the Civil War... our niece, Delaney, won an Autzen Stadium football during some-sort of contest at the restaurant! GO DUCKS!
Unhealthy bar snacks were followed by healthy homemade turkey noodle soup... and more... Stanford v UCLA... and more... USC v Notre Dame... football.
Sunday was a bit more relaxing.
A neighbor stopped by, had a few snacks from our lawn, snagged a few treats from the water, then flew off.
I made apple pancakes.
We relaxed a little more... and DT watched more football, but I did not.I. Could. Not.
Our neighbors, Lois & Steve, came by this evening. We served Negroni's.
