Indio, California: DT and I are so extremely popular. Everyone simply love us. Because we are so charming and popular, we are constantly being invited to parties. Cocktail hours. Dinner parties. Openings. Receptions... Oh, who I am kidding. We are rarely invited to anywhere for anydamnthing. Apparently we are only popular and charming to each other... and let's face it: after three months of "togetherness" in a RV, our "charm" has just about reached the limit.
Which is why we jumped on an invitation to a resort-wide Social Mixer at the pool this afternoon. Free margaritas and tacos.
Did someone say free margaritas and tacos? I'm there!
Tables were set-up around the pool at the club house.
Margaritas! The pretty blonde lady on the right is our neighbor, Karen. They served ready-to-pour margaritas from Costco. Kirkland brand. Tequila was already inside the bottle. And, the mix is made with sugar - not high fructose corn syrup. Such a good idea.I don't get out much, do I?
Our old friend from one of our favorite neighborhood taco joints - Tacos Gonzales - served beef, pork or chicken tacos - along with assorted toppings and salsas. Delicioso!

It was a great little party and we met our new neighbors, Kiefer & Britt. They bought the lot behind us three days ago.The exceedingly dapper (and fabulously named) meteorologist, Dallas Raines, of ABC7 in Los Angeles, used a photo I snapped of a pretty desert sunset as a backdrop during his weather report this evening!
