San Diego, California: DT and I were up early this morning to exercise before we hit the road to San Diego (in our Honda). The drive took just over three hours and we only stopped once - just outside Palm Springs - for a gorgeous vista over the Coachella Valley.
Isn't that just something?We continued our west-ward route and arrived to San Diego around three o'clock.
We are staying in some fairly fancy digs this weekend!After a rest in our room, we ventured down to our hotel lobby for a cocktail and then took a taxi to the "Little Italy" area of San Diego. We walked up and down the street and since all the restaurants had the same menu (just like Italy!), we decided upon the restaurant with the shortest wait-list. Our meal were just fine and our wines were lovely.

SLOGGER REPORT: I traversed my new favorite four mile route this morning. Though I have only jogged three times this week, I still managed to cover 12 miles in total. Not bad for an old fat grandma.
