Happy New Year

Los Angeles, California: DT and I are in Los Angeles for a few days because:

1. to return Reese
2. to see Baby Leo (and his parents)
3. a little football game on Monday

We have a unhealthy habit tradition of eating Fettuccini Alfredo on New Year's Eve and tonight was no exception. And it is real Fettuccini Alfredo too, my own recipe - sure to raise those ugly bad cholesterol levels, forcing one to spend much of January on a vegan diet, exercising for seventeen hours per day. But, trust me, it's worth it.

And this year, we had Fettuccini Alfredo with Leo! Just Leo too, because we kicked his parents out (of their own house) and told them to go out and have some fun and we could be trusted to make sure their child would be properly cared for and put to bed in a some-what timely manner. They agreed, but I must let you know - Leo is not allowed to eat Fettuccini Alfredo. He is still on a liquid diet.

Baby Leo was in his formal attire for the holiday. Wearing a "tie". So cute. So... why do you suppose an infant would need pockets? Someplace to keep his Toys-R-Us credit card?

Here is another poor-quality cell-phone video of Leo happily playing:

Cutest Baby Ever. (PS: the noise you hear in the background is Gramps doing the dishes.)

After dinner, we had a little quiet time with Leo and put him in his jammies.

Oh, Lord, Won't You Buy Me a Mercedes Benz), the kid conks out. (DT thinks Leo fakes sleep to make me stop singing.) After our Precious Charge was asleep, we did what every babysitter does - we rustled through the fridge to find some booze! We found a bottle of Veuve Clicquot! Woot! Happy New Year! And, GO DUCKS! Until my next update, I remain, your optimistic correspondent.
