Indio, California: Mother Nature turned the Indio weather dial back to "normal" and we enjoyed a perfectly lovely - wind free - day. Good thing too - Lenn's parents are flying in to Palm Springs International this evening and Lisa, Lenny & Leo are driving over from Los Angeles to spend the weekend. Fun times ahead! Do you suppose I will post any photos of Leo? And don't forget about Our Grand Dawg, Reese. Reese is camping with us this weekend - everyone else is in a hotel.

We try to run early on Friday's because Friday is the day they mow the lawns in the entire resort and we both get to sneezing like crazy with all the mowing and blowing. But the fish in the canals love Fridays! They love to eat the grass clippings that blow into the water!

Fish? That reminded us we had yet to visit Fisherman's Market & Grill since arriving in the desert. Guess what they have at Fisherman's Market & Grill? You guessed it - fish tacos!

After lunch, I received a text message from Captain Jim & Mary (they are still vacationing in Hawaii... hey, guys, are you ever coming back to Indio???) with a link to a story in the local newspaper about an overnight motorhome fire in this resort.
What? How did we sleep through all that noise? Not to mention, we both jogged around and around and around the resort this morning and never noticed a totally burned-out motorcoach? I asked around and learned the fire was on site #73. Everyone escaped - out the front door - unharmed!

SLOGGER REPORT: I ran three miles as slow as possible before it could generally be referred to as "walking". Tomorrow is a rest day and I am so ready to rest.
