Father’s Day

Sisters, Oregon: After a very full and exciting week of new RV tires, batteries, track meet and way-too-many parties, DT and I hitched-up the Honda and dragged it up to Central Oregon to spend Father's Day with My Dear Dad. Dad and Mary are in town, visiting my brother, Rick, and his wife, Ali.

We drove the McKenzie Highway from Springfield to Sisters, Oregon. The road follows the McKenzie River and is just a great drive and fine for RV's.

Ali, had arranged for a luncheon at Black Butte Ranch Resort to celebrate Father's Day. We had great meals and four of Dad's five kids were in attendance. (Brother Steve remained in Denver; everyone else lives in Oregon.)

Me, Brother Rick, Nephew Taylor (Rick & Ali's son), Dad, Sister Renee and Brother Ken. I am the eldest/shortest of the five "children" and we are posed above in birth-order, left-to-right. Brother Steve (not pictures) is the baby.

Dad, with his wife, Mary

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Until my next update, I remain, your daughterly correspondent.

RV PARK: Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort - Formerly the Sisters KOA. Don't let the name fool you, this place is only 4 miles from Sisters and nearly 20 to Bend. Really a beautiful campground with everything you could need, except water pressure. Fire pits, picnic tables, free wifi, store, bath houses, laundry, heated pool, hot tub. Open all year. Next to Sisters Rodeo grounds. We paid $52 per night - summer rates!
