All Star

Los Angeles, California: DT and I drove to LA this afternoon to watch Leo play in the league All Star game tonight. We are so proud of Leo - the second year in a row he has been selected to the All Star team for the city flag football league. Our favorite 60 pound center!

Big time!

The All Star game was big time! Leo’s games are usually on worn-out grass playing fields, with high school kids reffing. Tonight’s game was on astroturf, the refs were grown men, and they had an electric score board/timer. Fancy!

Leo - not blurred - in blue top

Leo and his teammates crushed their opponents, and again - mercy rule even works at an All Star game - the competition ended early.

All Star Champs

Except it wasn’t early. Leo’s game was due to kick-off at 7p, but the previous game on the field was still in progress. Leo’s game started around 7:20p. After the game we had planned to have a quick meal at a restaurant near Lisa & Lenny’s house, so the Leo and Lucile could get to bed - school tomorrow! Well, it was a late night, and we will have two sleepy heads in the morning.

Until my next update, from a completely different location, I remain your Proud Bubbe correspondent.

  1. Congratulations to Leo & his teammates!

On another note, I just saw that your guy Jimmy Buffet will be at the new Acrisure Arena (near Thousand Palms) in March. Did you know? Who am I kidding, I’m sure you knew. 🙂
