Ahhhh… that’s better

Indio, California:  Our 1000+ mile trip from Oregon - with freezing cold weather, wind, rain, freezing water pipes and bumpy roads has been forgotten. Everything is better today.

1. It was 67 degrees today. I did not need two shirts, jacket, stocking cap and gloves on my run this morning. I only needed a tee shirt. And I needed a visor because of the bright sun.

Sigh.

2. DT and I had coffee outside in the sun and watched the egrets.

3. Paul, from Dynamic Detailing, came by with his team to wash the Magna Peregrinus- and the Honda.

4. I had a pedicure.

5. We have a bouquet of fresh flowers in the motorhome.

6. It didn't take us long to get back into the relaxed pace of life in the RV resort and to enjoy our fabulous view. The floor heaters are off and DT wore shorts this afternnoon.

Interestingly enough, this balloon reads "Balloon Adventures - Newberg, Oregon". Newberg is just a few miles from our home in Oregon. Either Balloon Adventures come down to the desert to work in the winter or they are really, really, really off course.

7. It is the first night of Hanukkah. I lit our menorah and placed it in the front window. (OK, I did not actually "light" our menorah because I brought an electric menorah. Safety first!) We had latkes (I made My Other Latkes, Another Way and served them with creme fraiche, wild-caught sockeye lox and dill) and we sang that silly dreidel song.

From our RV to yours - Happy Hanukkah!

Until my next update, I remain, your fried in oil correspondent.
