We had a very quiet day. Like many of you (I assume), I made potato salad today.

I wonder, how many people prepared/ate potato salad today in America? Idaho must LOVE the 4th of July! I do not use a recipe, just make my 'tater salad the same way My Mom made hers... except today I used green onions... because I had a lot of green onions.
Like many of you, we had neighbors drop by:

I hope your neighbors didn't fall asleep for a few hours under your lilac bushes and eat their way across your property.

This little fawn still has spots!
I bet many of you flew the flag and had some sort of patriotic red, white and blue decor. We did too.

I made my
Pesto Turkey Burgers. Not traditional for the Independence Day holiday, but it
was a burger. We didn't even put the burger in a bun... saving our carbs for corn on the cob and potato salad!

Making Pesto Turkey Burgers is a huge change in the usual line-up. For the past four Independence Day holidays, we have stayed home (just the two of us) and dined on potato salad, corn on the cob and grilled chicken. Change is good!

Later, we will settle-in to watch the fireworks from our back deck.
How is the 4th of July holiday celebrated at your house? What was on your menu? Please comment below.
Until my next update, I remain, your red, white and blue correspondent.
