Track Town, USA: Oh, yeah. It's a Saturday in September, so you know the Magna Peregrinus will make an appearance to party in the parking lot of Autzen Stadium. We drove down to Eugene last night, dined on the left-over Braised Chicken with Capers and Parsley (nice leftovers!), had cocktails with Kathy, Woody, Mary & Steve and were up early this morning for an appointment to have this dirty bus washed. And luckily we were up early because the workers showed up at 8 o'clock for our 9 o'clock appointment.

At 11:30, we drove the motorhome over to Autzen Stadium and tailgated with Kathy, Woody, Mary & Steve - and many friends. Our menu today included turkey tacos (prepared by Mary) and black beans (prepared by our housesitter, Brandon). The food was delicious. Dave and I provided a vat of margaritas. We fed about 30 people this afternoon.

Mary & Steve's #3, Chris, is in town from his home in Utah for his upcoming nuptials next weekend in Portland. It is great to have Chris in town for so long. We really enjoyed having the "husband-to-be" with us all day.

Our calm tailgate, before 30 of our best friends showed up

We enjoyed beautiful weather - and finally had a break from the high temperatures we have experienced over the past few weeks. School doesn't start for a few more weeks, so the student section (top, left) was a bit sparse.

Not too many Fresno State fans showed up either. Sad.

It wasn't the best football game I have ever witnessed, but the Ducks won by 17 points. The two stars of the game, Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas are also sprinters on the track team.

Duh.

As a matter of fact, on his first (of 3) touchdown of the night, Kenjon became only the 6th-ever Duck to have more than 30 career touchdowns. By the end of the night, Kenjon moved into the top-10 all-time Duck scorer list. Speedster De'Anthony carried the ball over 100 yards tonight, for the second time in his career.

Mike, Joyce, Terry & Kara

After the game, my cousin Mike came by our tailgate with his wife, Joyce, and their daughter, Kara. Fun times!

Until my next update, I remain, your GO DUCKS correspondent.
