2 July: Thursday

Indio, California: Just a quick update tonight. We had a very long day - at the new house for hours, while a window treatment company measured for shutters. It was exhausting and Dave and I weren't doing anything but waiting around and occasionally answering a question. We could go outside, sit in the folding camping chairs to watch the golfers go by - and thankfully remove our face masks for a while.

Our gardener has finished clearing, pruning, and weeding, and the place looks amazing! Now we only need to learn to use the sprinkler timer, outdoor lighting timer, and pool equipment... then the NEST thermostats. I was able to change the refrigerator water filter myownself!

By the time we arrived back to the motorhome, I was so tired and so hungry - even too lazy to shake a martini! I quickly threw-together tostadas. Dave has really been missing his luncheon tostadas from Tacos Gonzalez, so I made my version for him this evening while he drove the golf cart to the mail room.

And this is the only photo (taken with my phone!) that I have for ye olde blog this evening.

I'm going to bed.

Until my next update, I remain, your shuttered correspondent.

  1. Is there a place to park the motor home at the new house? Then you could go out and take a nap or fix a snack….or martini. You might as well enjoy the best of all worlds.

    1. No. Just like when we lived in Portland, our bus will need to go into a storage garage when not in use.
