La Quinta, California: After having the kids here for three days over Mother's Day Weekend, and seeing them Thursday in Los Angeles for their Whiskey A Go Go shows, it was pretty quiet around here this weekend. The palm trees were trimmed and the fronds had been hauled away and chipped-up. No jury obligations until Tuesday morning. We had ourselves a Staycation and enjoyed some fine foods.
On Sunday we had brunch at our club (per usual), so didn't want much for dinner. We were watching (a recording) of the Big10 Track & Field Championships from Lincoln, Nebraska on television, so I made a "tailgate" for dinner. Nachos!
Do I have to tell you the Oregon Duck Women won? And the Oregon Duck Men won?
And why is it called the Big10 when the conference includes 18 schools? Are eight of them really bad at sports?
I will report in again after I have finished my civic (jury) duty.
