Borrego Springs, California: The only thing to report is the temperature reached 96 today. There is nothing funner than being in a metal box in 90+ temperatures - no matter the strength of your air-con. My Brave Driver headed out early on his bicycle and reported upon his return that it was HOT.
I prepped our usual potato/pepper hash for breakfast and then we headed up to the resort amphitheater to see the Dog Show event today. Due to the high temperatures, the pups were burning their feet(s), and the winner (a Great Dane) was long-gone by the time we arrived.

No idea if this is an annual event or a one-off. It was winding-down early, but the Birria Taco Truck was still doing a booming business. Alas, I had already prepped our dinner.
We definitely hunkered down this afternoon. Wondering if we will keep our tee-time tomorrow, or just go home. (It's equally hot at home.) Golf on television. Needlepointing. Watching (just a bit of) the news from Iran.
The left-over chicken DT grilled two nights ago was shredded into the planned Greek Salad with garbanzo beans and farro. A very filling healthy dinner. After dinner it was cool enough to venture outside and watch the stars. Amazing nature we get to experience in the dark desert.
Happily our DISH television system includes Radio Margaritaville on channel 099-24, so I am happy girl.
FYI: NBC will air the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships tomorrow (Sunday, 1 March) at 10a Pacific.
Until my next update, I remain, your "how the heck is it already March?" correspondent.
Campground Information: The Springs at Borrego RV Resort - We have a paved, full-service, pull-through site. There is a table, but oddly no chairs. Paying $90-something a night. This resort has everything (except chairs). Pool, hot tubs, fitness center, library, lots of activities, and a regulation (very decent) nine-hole golf course.
