Indio, California: Our Darling Grandson thought it would be a good idea to wake before sunrise this morning. Lisa was on duty for most of the time, but after 6 o'clock, Bubbe took over. It was really windy. Too windy to run. I bundled Leo up, put him in his stroller and power-walked around the resort for my exercise this morning.

Not that anyone chasing after a toddler needs additional exercise.

Due to the high winds, we closed all four screens to completely close-in our covered pavilion. Poor Little Guy.

Peering outside the screens:
Leo's head reaches my waist. He is tall. I am short.

Lisa and Lenny call our casita the "world's largest play pen" when the screens are down. Greatest thing - Leo can see out, but no one can see inside! Nice for privacy and nice for entertaining/containing busy boys during a wind storm.

Our family drove home to Los Angeles this afternoon. We will miss them so much, but will see them again very soon.

The winds calmed after two o'clock. DT and I put several loads of linens through the washer-dryer this afternoon and mopped the tile floors in the casita. A 19-month-old boy = plenty of vacuuming and mopping. It is our pleasure. Just one little hug or smile from Leo melts our heart. It was a great weekend, a great visit and I always enjoy cooking for my family.

Leo charmed many of our fellow campers, including a woman we met while walking this morning. He cocked his little head to one side, said hiiiiii, and gave her one of his adorable smiles. She melted, declared him precious - then recited a funny poem, which I will probably terribly paraphrase here:

I've seen the lights of London.
I've seen the lights of Rome.
But none are more beautiful than
the tail-lights of my grandchildren heading home.

Or something like that.

Too funny!

LET'S MOVE IN MARCH! I have challenged y'all to get out there, lace up your sneakers and walk or jog (or the exercise of your choice) at least 30 minutes - five or six days a week in March. I'm doing this for charity and my prominent backside. How's it going for you? Please comment below. Don't forget - no sign-up is required to leave your thoughts. Just type your name or nickname in the first box and comment as you please.

Pushing Leo in the stroller in a wind storm was a pretty good workout for this old granny. It is amazing how many steps I take following Leo around and I am now really impressed by the many stroller-pushing Moms passing me while I run.

Pedometer: 12,150
Miles jogged/walked for the day/month: 2/10
