Saturday

Indio, California: What a difference a day makes!

24 hours later - no snow, no clouds, no wind. Perfect.

I promised photos of my three little herb gardens. I need to stake the tomatoes and adjust the irrigation a bit, but it is safe to say, my little herbal friends are really enjoying their new digs. Digs? I'm so funny.

The Fighting Ducks of Oregon had their final regular-season basketball game this morning against Utah in Salt Lake City. The game was shown on the Pac-12 Networkand DirecTV refuses to carry the network... so we schlepped our backsides down to The Beer Hunter in La Quinta to catch the game.

The Ducks stunk-it-up and lost to one of the lousiest teams in the Pac-12 and I stunk-it-up by ordering a "small" nacho platter. (If this was "small", I would hate to see the "normal" size. This "reduced portion" could have fed four adults. Ridiculously huge. Could not make a dent in the pile-o-stuff.) The 23 miles I ran this week were completely erased by five minutes of nacho noshing.

I blame it all on DirecTV. Apparently they care nothing about my lack of a waistline.

Yo - DirecTV? Get the Pac-12 Network already.

Not sure exactly what... but there was some sort of a social event for the boating-set inside our RV resort this afternoon. Everyone was having a good time! It was pleasant to sit on our sunny patio and watch the boats parade in front of our campsite. Something is always going-on around here.

I leave you with a short video from last weekend of That Cute Baby "helping me" water the flowers. Kid was delighted - and delightful.

LET'S MOVE IN MARCH! I have challenged y'all to get out there, lace up your sneakers and walk or jog (or the exercise of your choice) at least 30 minutes - five or six days a week in March. I'm doing this for charity and my prominent backside.

Saturday is my rest day! No jogging, and I don't beat myself up if I fail to cover 10,000 steps on my pedometer.

Pedometer: 6838
Miles jogged for the day/month: 0/27

Until my next update, I remain, your cheesy correspondent.
