Indio, California: Dave flew to Portland Monday-Friday, so I was alone all last week. I took time away from my Little Blog and had a quiet few days. I exercised way-too-much, but still had time to relax and Our Friends (so worried about me being alone) kept me entertained and well fed.
DT flew back to Palm Springs International last night and the kids arrived early this morning for a fun-filled weekend. We had not seen our family since the Rose Bowl on January 1st. Lucy has changed SO much in only three weeks! She remains, at 5 months, the happiest and smiliest (maybe not a word?) baby on the planet.
Just after the kids arrived, Leo was all over our golf cart and could not wait to go out for a ride. Not a problem, as today our resort was hosting all sorts of activities - a car show contest and a "Denim & Diamonds" street dance - complete with live country-western music, line dancing and BBQ dinner (which we did not attend).

Which may be why I drive a 7 (or is it 8?) year old Honda CRV?
Don't judge.
But these cars were judged. We saw three huge trophies waiting to be awarded. (Maybe I can report on the winners later? Or quite possibly I will not.)

After a fun day in the old RV park, swimming in the pool, and a gourmet lunch from Tacos Gonzales, we met around the campfire. Crystal, Brent and Woody also gathered around our cozy fire.

We also had a tossed salad and I baked a one-layer chocolate buttermilk cake for my chocolate-lover (Leo). Life is good at Bubbe's.

And her brother, texting Ke$ha:
