Golfing, Again

Tubac, Arizona: With the weather nearly spectacular, we once again played 18 holes at the Tubac Golf Resort, playing the exact same two (of their three) courses today as we did three days ago. We were not paired with another couple, so DT and I had a "long drive" challenge today.

This shot was taken at the "blue" tee box, from where DT was playing. The girls get quite a bit of a head start:

This photo, also taken from the blue tees, with an arrow pointing to the ladies tee box. No wonder I won the $20 bet. Though winning $20 from a person with whom you share a joint checking account isn't much of a prize.

I improved my score from a few days ago, shooting a 111 today (yeah, me!) and uncharacteristically scored two pars. Two? Two? I don't make two pars in a YEAR.

While we were on the course, we found a little hawk sitting in a tree. S/he let us get quite close and did not fly away. The bird looked like a common Red Tailed Hawk, but wasn't even a foot long. Possibly a juvenile? Readers?

Our evening will be spent watching the replay of the Millrose Games on ESPN (we watched live on the internet last night). Great night for a few of our current and ex-Ducks!

Until my next update, I remain, your weary, but happy, correspondent.
