Friday Report

Indio, California: If it seems a little quiet around here these days, it is because our sleep-schedules are all messed-up due to the World Indoor Track & Field Championships happening in pretty Sopot, Poland, eight hours ahead of our time zone.

After being up half the night listening/watching the meet live on my iPad, Dave spent the day golfing, so I enjoyed a quiet day at home, resting, baking and - like millions of people women around the world - preparing for the Sabbath.

Dave returned in time to watch the sunset and to watch the replay of the meet on television (seriously, we really, really like track & field, don't we?). Universal Sports is showing the (taped) meet; not in HD. (Insert sad face here.)

I always have a tough time baking Challah in this dry climate, but everything turned out well today.

We also dined on a grilled, butterflied, organic bird and Israeli salad.

It is awesome to be able to step outside and snip herbs to marinate the chicken and mint to chop for the salad!

Shabbat Shalom!

Until my next update, I remain, your domestic correspondent.
