French 75

Freeze two champagne flutes prior to serving. Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add to shaker:
 

3 ounces Gin
1.5 ounces fresh lemon juice
2 Tablespoons simple syrup

Shake well, then strain into two chilled champagne flutes. Top with:

Champagne, chilled


Garnish with lemon curl. Serves 2.
