At Sea: I fear losing readership if I post another "at sea" day photo session of food. Seriously, this ship is over the top - even in the buffet. Lunch today was yet another Italian food fest. The usual food stations were open (sushi, salads, burgers), but the main courses, appetizers and desserts were Italian.

Top: roasted peppers and caprese. Bottom: artichoke & cheese and fish on the bottom right.

Everything that swims, in a tomato broth.

In the parfait cups, they offered a tiramisu and chocolate panna cotta - and so many cookies and cannolis. Fruit tarts. Mimosa cake. Fruits.

We were so quiet today. I stitched quite a bit, and finally at 4p, the sun came out from the gloomy fog and we had such a lovely afternoon on our deck - finally - with warm sun and calm seas. We were so close to shore, much of the day we had cell service!
We had dinner reservations at Sakura - the Asian-fusion dining room on Explora II. Dave ordered several sushi and sashimi for us to share and I had a great seaweed salad. For my entree, I again ordered the Duck Confit as I want to remember this dish to recreate it for Leo (Leo would LOVE this duck.) It was even better than I remembered from last time, and randomly, the chef came out of the kitchen to our table and asked us how we were enjoying our meals. I asked him about my duck and he confirmed it was indeed Five Spice + Hoisin, so now I only have to figure-out how to to put it all together.

Dave is calling this DAY 18 of the Hostage Crisis, but we are still having fun - eating so much, but also exercising so much. We have one more port tomorrow and then will fly back to Los Angeles.
Until my next update, I remain, your Mediterranean correspondent.
