City, State: Our only appointment today was to visit old friends in Honolulu. Carolyn and Dan have a lovely modern house in the hills above Honolulu. Carolyn was born and raised in Honolulu, and now they are caring for their parents locally and enjoying visits from their children and friends at their beautiful home.
They served us a fabulous lunch from L&L, which was just what I was craving. Their son flew-in this afternoon, so we were able to see him again as well.
The kids were at the aquarium and beach while we were away. Lucile reported a turtle surfaced right in front of them while they were standing in the waves!
The rest of the my day was spent stitching on the balcony. A true day-off on vacation.
Lisa had arranged another dinner for us - tonight at Roy Yamaguchi’s Eating Place. It was a sushi place with an open kitchen.
We pack up in the morning and fly off to another island.
