Home One Week

La Quinta, California: We arrived home from our Napa/Paso Robles trip nearly a week ago, and have been too busy to blog (2B2B?). The RV was unloaded Monday evening, and the Petit Peregrinus was (professionally) cleaned inside and out before she was returned to her storage garage. Can't say everything we brought inside the house was put in its proper place right away... but it's all good now.

Our golf course when we left

Major reason for getting out of town for a few weeks was the dusty mess made while the golf course is "scalped" and reseeded. I was sneezing all dang day and when I wasn't sneezing, I was dusting. But look at the course two weeks later:

Two weeks later

And it looks greener and more lush every day. Our course opens November 11th. (One of us is quite anxious.)

There was no time to rest after returning from wine country. 3 of the 4 roomies gathered together again in La Quinta. Always fun, and if anyone retold a story for the 15th time, we are all too old to remember. Lots of laughing. We had Tacos Gonzalez one day, and gathered and Rosie and Terry's rental for take-out pizza one night. The weather is just perfect this time of year. No air conditioner needed.

We did not end-up on Los Angeles on Halloween. The grandkids had other plans, so Lisa and Lenny did not host their usual blow-out spooky bash. I think most people wanted to watch the Dodgers anyway? We did, and we did again last night and were so happy the Dodgers won the World Series again.

And... we are off again Thursday!

Until my next update, I remain, your California correspondent.
